Maja graduated from Harvard College (A.B.) in 2001, and also has degrees from Oxford (M.Sc.) and McGill Universities (B.C.L., LLB).
She is a member of the New York Bar and worked in private legal practice in New York before moving to The Hague to enter the field of international law. Her current work at the Hague Conference on Private International Law (est. 1893) spans a range of international human rights, private and public law topics.
